This weekend was action packed with a ton of fun! We decided to take a trip to Madison and eat at the best Mexican Food Restaurant in Wisconsin which is Abuelos!! We got up, went over to Curt and Stacy's, jumped in the Expedition and off we went (with Sam of course). On the way down we talked about all the good politics and fun events that were going on in the world.
When we got to Madison we went right to the Grub, or as Curt would say we got some Groceries. We finished eating and hung out there for a little while and during the hang out, Curt gave Sam an education about green chili.. Sam loved it! He wanted to have some right then and there and we decided that it wasn't a good idea because he probably takes after his dad! Needless to say when it comes to hot stuff I am a little bit of a tenderfoot!! I am about to get my Second Class Badge (if you know the Boy scout rank this is next after tenderfoot!).
After going to Abuelos and an education about green chili we hit up the mall. This was a pretty interesting time as well. We went into a children's store and man was that fun!! More people watching and hanging out. At one point a little girl had walked up to another couples stroller and decided to have a little refreshments from the cart!! Come to find out she thought that it was her stroller and she had the same drink waiting for her. It came time to leave the store and Curt and I headed out to the middle of the mall and did some more watching while the girls finished paying. We were looking around and came upon a kiosk that was selling some hair/skin products. So we patiently watched and observed the situation. We found our selves in the commentator booth giving a play by play of the sale that was going down! It was very interesting. A tall skinny guy like me was trying to sell a woman some good products! He was so good that the lady tried to leave at least 3 times and he was able to get her back to the booth and show her more stuff. Then the girls came out, broke down our booth, made us put down the microphones and off we went.
After the mall we hit up Target. Where Sam was such a good little guy we picked him up a few items and also got a ton of compliments on how good he was!! We did some more shopping and now it is time to go back home. Late in the day it is now time for Sams early evening feeding. The plan was for us to feed him in the car seat and when it was time to burp we would pull over get the job done and then continue this pattern until he was finished. Well, here is how it actually went down. We started heading home and started feeding Sam. It came time to burp and time for Curt to pull over in a safe place!! So we pulled off and decided to hit up the Pine Tree Restaurant, Hair Care, Sub Shop and Tire center. Man, this was the highlight of the trip. We watched and watched while Sam ate and burped and ate and burped. While setting there we had the best people watching experience that we have ever had. Anything from HOT motorcycle girls to bleach blonde hair, to littering and the Finest Casket truck in the world. We were tempted to run in and get a sub and have some dinner there in the parking lot! That again was not what we did.. We decided to get Sam back in the car and head home. Where he slept most of the way! That was the most eventful weekend that we have had in a long time.
This week we look forward to seeing Aunt Patti and Cousin Kaitlin. So watch for some more photos while they are here visiting.
