Trim, Steps and Hammer time

This last week has been an exciting time in the Peterson house. Earlier this week Samurai got his first "Hair Cut". Well not much of a haircut, but more of a trim. His hair was getting so long around his ears that it was making him look like some crazy little boy. He is looking good!

Yesterday Sam took some of his first steps!! He decided that he wanted to walk to Courtnee to get his hammer and pop up toys. He is also starting to stand longer and pick toys up and hold them with out holding on to anything. So any day now you will see Young Sam Cruising around!!

So what is going on with Courtnee and I? Not much. Courtnee has been working like usual and learning so many new things. She is one of the only girls in the office that knows how to do a little bit of everything in her department. She is getting more and more responsibilities! If you didn't know that the latest Harry Potter Movie is coming out and Courtnee has been re-reading the book and she has also started on the last book once again. As for me. This last week we had a big Renaissance Learning conference with the filed consultants who train our programs. I had the privilege to do a presentation with another girl in my department and we blew everyone else away! They were talking about us the rest of the week and we were even told that we did the best presentation of the week!!

Sam goes Swinging..

Tonight we just had to get out of the house so we took a little trip over to the play ground at the local school and did some playing. Sam had a great time swinging, sliding and of course eating some wood chips. I am sure that they tasted like cedar.

10 Months!

Can you believe that he is 10 months old? 10 months!! This weekend has been action packed. Courtnee and Stacy had a garage sale and sold all of our stuff. I think that I am missing a few pairs of shorts and holy pants, but that is OK. While they were selling and hanging out; Sam and I had a full day. Before his early nap we got up, ran to the Home Depot and got some flowers for our hanging baskets. After the nap we got some lunch and then off to feed the ducks. He had a great time watching and almost throwing the bread. He wanted to eat the bread and not share so we did both. After feeding the ducks a surprise visit to Mom, Weeze and Daddy Curt. I think that we have officially hit summer we are suppose to get some days that are close to 80 degrees and for the first time we are looking forward to some warmth. Here are some photos of Young Sam trying to get the bread out for ducks.

Where is my sword when I need it?

Will the BB gun get these out?

Sam got into trouble....

So our sweet young Sam had his first "time out" tonight. Ok so it wasn't much of a time out. I made him sit on the rug in the kitchen while I cleaned up the mess he made. He bellied up to the cat's water bowl before I could get a word in. He reached over and dumped all the water out!!! It went all over the floor, on his pants, and my shaggy rug was kind enough to soak some up as well. He was not a happy camper that I was MAKING him sit on the rug (the not wet part). He tried a few times to get off, and I sat him back down and made him wait until I cleaned up the mess. He wimpered a bit, and after a minute I picked him up and soothingly told him that we do not play in Franklin's food and water bowls. I think it sank in and he'll NEVER do it again. Ha ha! -Courtnee

Finally another post

So, it has been a while since we have posted some new photos of Young Sam. Sam is doing great. He is growing like a weed and moving more and more. It is still a matter of time before he is walking, running, and getting into anything and everything. This weekend Courtnee and I were able to go golfing for the first time this year. We had such a wonderful time and did not do that bad. Tonight we went to a friends house and had dinner and a play date. They have a daughter that is almost one week older than Sam. We love hanging out with them and since it is almost like having twins. They are doing almost the same things and it is very interesting on how parents and children are different.

The summer is flying by even though we have not had a very hot summer to this point. Next weekend the garage sale and then soon we will be off to vacation!

Here are some 9 month photos of Sam and our friend Kara Sue.
