Bluebonnets in Full Bloom

Over the weekend we took a day trip to Ennis, Texas and went Bluebonnet hunting. I am so thankful that I have a family that allows me to get out and take some photos, but it does take some bribery on my part. Over the past few weeks, I have been talking to Sam about the Bluebonnets and explained to him that it is the Texas State flower and we can not pick them. He loved riding with us throughout the country side and enjoyed looking at all of the flowers and Texas Longhorns. Below are just a few of my favorite images from this past weekend and I look forward to sharing more in the future.

Sam's Drawing Skills

A few weeks ago, Sam and I went to the playground to play. A family was out in the field playing soccer and Sam wanted to play too. We went out there to see if he could play and they included him in on the games. Here is his drawing of the event and the second picture is the computerized (dad's enhanced version) of Sam's art work.

The original drawing

The line art version.

Dad and Lad Once Again

Well, more like, all about Lad. This was a special time as Courtnee went out with some friends, while Sam and I stayed home to play, watch movies, make a fort and camp out in the living room.

Check out my new headband.

Hanging out in the fort.

A Small Gathering

This past Saturday was an adventure. We received notice that some family members were going on an adventure to Athens. No not Athens Greece, but Athens Texas. Courtnee, Sam and I decided that this is an event that we should not miss. So the three of us loaded up and headed on our way. Thanks for a wonderful weekend to all of our family.

2011 - What we missed

2011 has been a crazy year for the Peterson family. We have relocated to a new, but familiar city, reconnected with old friends, moved into a new office and accepted a new job. Below you will find a series of images that we did not post. It's not because we didn't want to, it is because we were too lazy. Here is to the old 2011 and to the new 2012!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sam riding Patches

Courtnee Reading on her Kindle. Also, she has accepted a position at Mohr partners and will be working full time assisting the brokers.

Sam took this photo. Nice shot Samurai

A little Dad and Lad time. Mom was laying on Sam's bed trying to finish a book she has to return to the library. Just a little break from playing with cars.

Blue Angry Bird. Just like a lot of other kiddos, Sam LOVES Angry Birds. It is the modern day Mario. Everyone is playing this game. Even Courtnee, she's hooked.

Sam and the Race Track. Who has more fun? Sam or dad?

First day of School.

First day of "School School" as Sam calls it.

Sam and I drive every morning to school. His school is located close to the office so I can go over for lunch a few times a month. Here we are on the first of many days at the school. So far he has learned about chemical reactions, elasticity, and absorption.

Sam visiting his Great Grandparents.

First time at the Real Theater. We chose to go to the dollar theate just in case it didn't work out. He was a CHAMP!

Going to see Cars 2 for the first time.
