Annual Pancake Breakfast

Over the past few years we have had the opportunity to participate in the annual Diary Breakfast at Lincoln High School. Our group has gotten smaller over the years, but the pancakes are still just as good! Sam had a great time and can eat his fair share of those buttery short stacks.

Family Day Trip

Autumn is a beautiful time in Central Wisconsin and every year we take a family day trip to enjoy the brilliant colors. This year, I was anxious to get out and take some fall waterfall photos. In preparation we checked out the fall tracking website (www.travelwisconsin.com) to see if any of the waterfall areas would still be in “peak” season. After research, we decided to head North to Ashland County to scratch that itch. On Saturday, we got up, got ready and took off. The colors close to home were absolutely beautiful. As we got further north the color started to fade, and fade, and eventually NO LEAVES! The look of disappointment overcame Courtnee and me. We were not going to let a little color ruin our trip. While on day trips we always try and find a nice little pizza palace we can enjoy (another tradition in the Peterson house). It was getting lunch time and we decided to stop in Park Falls Wisconsin to see what we could find. We drove around downtown and found Grandmazs Pizza, right next to a nice little video repair shop. After Pizza, we continued with Young Sam (watching Cars in the backseat) and reached our destination; Copper Falls State Park. The falls are just wonderful. You are able to see many different angles of the waterfalls (3) in the area. The walking path is 1.7 miles long and has footbridges, look out spots, and resting areas for you to enjoy the nature. After enjoying the nature, we decided to start heading back. After the long car ride back home we decided that we need to do a little more research on our fall colors before we venture out.

The Pizza place next to an electronics repair center! NICE NAME!

I think he was waving bye bye to the water.

Fall in Wisconsin

It has been way too long once again. Here are some photos of Sam playing with his pumpkins. It is peek season here in Wisconsin with all of the leaves changing. I am hoping that we can get out and do a little drive to see the fall leaves. We love this time of year, but hate what is to come in the next few months. You know that "S" word that we are not suppose to say! We hope to post more soon!

A New shirt from Japan! Our friends Seth, Chicka and Liam got this Samurai shirt for Sam. Thank you Seth, Chicka and Liam.

Dad does this go in the basket?

Just hanging out playing some football!

Enchanting Door County

This last weekend Kelly and I took a day trip to Door County. Door County is the thumb of the Wisconsin mitten (if you know your state shapes). It has been said that Door County in the fall is as beautiful as New England. Leaf Peepers come from all around to see the canvas God painted. We have been wanting to venture up at peak season for quite a few years now, and we were privileged to finally do so. Kelly and I wanted to share a few of the pictures that we took. We tried to encompass our whole day and cut it down to this slide show from a few hundred shots. The colors were so brilliant that the pictures don't do it justice, but use your imagination...absolutely breathtaking!

Fall and Pumpkins

This weekend was a blast! Courtnee and I took young Sam on a day trip to Appleton. We webt to the mall, Toys R us and continued the tradition of Chipolte Saturday. Sam was a trooper and did very well! While in toy heaven, a worker at Toys R Us gave Samurai a balloon. If only you could have seen his eyes light up like a little boy at Christmas time. This truly made our experience and day so much better.

Today we finally fulfilled our long time dream of 4 years to pick a pumpkin. We could also do other activities, but it was getting close to Sam's nap time and we needed to get the dirty lad back for clean up and his nap.

Courtnee and I truly love the fall. Next weekend we are going to take a Day trip to Door County so that we can see more of Gods Creation and beauty. Door County is truly one of the most beautiful places we have visited.
