Autumn is a beautiful time in Central Wisconsin and every year we take a family day trip to enjoy the brilliant colors. This year, I was anxious to get out and take some fall waterfall photos. In preparation we checked out the fall tracking website (www.travelwisconsin.com) to see if any of the waterfall areas would still be in “peak” season. After research, we decided to head North to Ashland County to scratch that itch. On Saturday, we got up, got ready and took off. The colors close to home were absolutely beautiful. As we got further north the color started to fade, and fade, and eventually NO LEAVES! The look of disappointment overcame Courtnee and me. We were not going to let a little color ruin our trip. While on day trips we always try and find a nice little pizza palace we can enjoy (another tradition in the Peterson house). It was getting lunch time and we decided to stop in Park Falls Wisconsin to see what we could find. We drove around downtown and found Grandmazs Pizza, right next to a nice little video repair shop. After Pizza, we continued with Young Sam (watching Cars in the backseat) and reached our destination; Copper Falls State Park. The falls are just wonderful. You are able to see many different angles of the waterfalls (3) in the area. The walking path is 1.7 miles long and has footbridges, look out spots, and resting areas for you to enjoy the nature. After enjoying the nature, we decided to start heading back. After the long car ride back home we decided that we need to do a little more research on our fall colors before we venture out.

The Pizza place next to an electronics repair center! NICE NAME!

I think he was waving bye bye to the water.
